This set is one of my absolute favourite garments. I find the colour of this particular material is flattering, and the placement of the accent panels feels purposeful, and brings in a flash of some more vibrant tones. When I was originally drafting the pattern for this set of pants in particular, I was hit by a blast of inspiration. The initial design had the circle skirt which sits at the knee attached to the pants with one simple seam. Once the modifications had been made, the piece included six pieces of sturdy bra strap elastic sewn onto each leg of the pants, and the entire inside of the garment was finished with a gold bias tape, made specifically for this piece. The back of the top, made from a stretch lace, provides enough give to bring the top above the shoulders, which allowed me to bypass the need for a zipper or buttons - which I was happy about. This design is most suited for Summer, Spring, or Autumn, but on occasion I will wear it outside of those seasons.
