Transformed from one of the first coats I had made, the Phoenix Spirit features an elegant warm grey accent detail for the placket nestled into a nest of sunshine yellow that radiates to the sides of the coat like sunbeams. The black embossed velvet I incorporated into the details at the collar and the cuffs provide this piece with a grounding, mature energy to allow more options for matching with other pieces of a darker, sophisticated palette and anchoring the piece to the wearer.
This was a custom request from a friend, who had been smitten with the original coat, which I took apart and resized. She and I had collaborated through the design process in order to create this one of a kind!
